About Us
Our Background
Who We Are
The Tanzania Association of Cashew Nut Processors (TACP) is the unifying umbrella organization for all cashew nut processors throughout Tanzania. Established in March 2020, TACP was founded with a clear and resolute purpose: to actively encourage, provide unwavering support, and tirelessly advocate for the robust growth and development of local cashew processing within the nation. Our fundamental aim is to cultivate a sustainable and resilient Tanzanian cashew industry that not only produces globally competitive, value-added products but also ensures equitable profitability for every participant across the entire value chain.
TACP’s strategic operations involve close collaboration with the Government of Tanzania and other vital stakeholders within the cashew value chain. Through these partnerships, we strive to create an enabling environment that actively stimulates investment and innovation in the sector. We are committed to attracting foreign investment into Tanzania’s cashew industry, facilitating crucial partnerships between local processors and international investors, and empowering farmers and small-scale processors by enhancing their capacities and providing access to essential technology. Furthermore, TACP proudly serves as the international voice for the cashew nut processing sector, actively disseminating vital market information, identifying emerging opportunities, and vigorously branding Tanzanian cashews to significantly boost the export of cashew kernels from the country.
