The Tanzania Association of Cashewnut Processors (TACP) successfully held its General Meeting, bringing together both large and small processors from across the country.
The meeting served as a platform to: Prepare for the upcoming cashew season, clarify rules and procedures of the primary market ,identify challenges and opportunities in the processing sector and promote collaboration among stakeholders in the cashew industry.
The Director General of the Cashewnut Board of Tanzania (CBT), Mr. Francis Alfred, delivered strategic guidance to strengthen cashew processing, improve quality standards, and enhance competitiveness in both local and international markets.
TACP’s management team also presented important reports on accountability, member contributions, and progress made in expanding access to markets for Tanzanian-processed cashews.
This Assembly reaffirmed our unity — with both big and small processors working together to drive value addition, create jobs, and build a sustainable future for Tanzania’s cashew industry.
